In this room you've got to put the code into the door puzzle (1) to open the locked door.
Then you've got to make it over to the power generator (2) to power up the door switch (3) to get pass the last door.

The only thing the character needs to get around is the one guard that is patroling in the level which stops in certain spots,
there is also light switches that the playable charcter can turn off to get around the guard.

That's a very viable design, the only really hard part is shrinking the vision cone of the AI from a 360 degree automatic rabble zone into a sharp cone in front of the guard.
