research and textures
I've been looking at textures, reference images and the like.
I'll show some here, but I'll put the rest in my photobucket account.
Just use the links on the left to get to the different sections. At the mo there are only 3 sections: Influences, Interiors and Textures.
If anyone finds any images they think would fit, just post them (or their links) here

These are some of the other images.
they were to big to put in the first post.
(see, concrete isn't always grey)

Jetson's Swatches
I've taken a few colour swatches from The Jetson's images.
Don't know if they'll be useful.
They can be found here

Re: research and textures
Perhaps reducing these colours down to like four or five might make things easier. Or each of the puzzles take a sample from these like four different colour schemes or something, but within a limited range to tie things together.
Re: research and textures
I would suggest keeping to colour scheme compact. Remember that whilst we'll be building the levels as modular blocks, the bunker would have been built as one overall structure.
I would suggest using 3 pastel colours as the main scheme with perhaps 2 other pastels reserved for 'special' areas. Other colours could be added in small pieces to denote different areas, like the colour stripes on the walls in Half-Life.
Note the stripes marked 'Research' 'Development' and 'Personnel'.

Re: research and textures
I just took a selection of colours so we had a larger choice.
I didn't feel like I had the authority to decided on the final few colours by myself so I put these up for general consideration
but yes, a small select few colours will work better than if we had designed this place while on acid
*edit*
and just to let you guys know, I've printed out some of the jetsons images, the interior photographs and the textures to stick on the mood board.
We've got 2 boards but my stuff will only take up 1. I reckon we should save the other board for when we have character designs and dynamics etc whenever that may be.
Anyone spoken to Chris recently?
